310SHeat-Resistant Stainless Steel — The guardian against oxidation in extreme temperatures. Its composition, featuring over 24% chromium and 19% nickel, forms the cornerstone of 310S's performance. While this renders it costly, it remains indispensable in the most demanding environments. 310S is a low-carbon variant of 310 stainless steel. Its exceptionally high chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni) content grants it the highest oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength among all conventional stainless steels. It represents the ultimate solution for sustained high temperatures, cyclic heating, and carburising environments. Core characteristics: Exceptional oxidation resistance: Withstands continuous service temperatures up to 1150°C and intermittent exposure to 1035°C. The chromium oxide film forming on its surface is exceptionally stable and resistant to spalling. Superior High-Temperature Strength: Exhibits outstanding creep resistance and structural stability at elevated temperatures, coupled with a high softening temperature. Excellent Carburisation Resistance: Maintains extended service life in carburising atmospheres (e.g., carbon monoxide). Good Corrosion Resistance: Resists corrosion in various oxidising and reducing media, though its core design objective remains thermal endurance.
