N06625 is a nickel-based alloy strengthened by solid solution treatment with molybdenum and niobium. It maintains exceptionally high strength across an extensive temperature range from cryogenic conditions up to 980°C without requiring precipitation hardening heat treatment. Concurrently, its high chromium content confers outstanding oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, establishing it as a truly versatile high-performance alloy. Core Characteristics: Remarkable strength and toughness: Exhibits exceptional strength, fatigue resistance, and creep resistance across a broad temperature spectrum from cryogenic conditions to 980°C. Outstanding resistance to both general and localised corrosion: Demonstrates excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, particularly in chloride-containing environments. Superior oxidation resistance: Forms a dense oxide film at elevated temperatures, resisting oxidation and carburising atmospheres up to 1100°C. Outstanding fatigue performance: Exhibits extended fatigue life in marine environments and other demanding conditions. Good machinability and weldability: Easily welded and formed, with no tendency for post-weld ageing cracks, making it an ideal material for complex structural components.
